LITTLE MAKOLOLO PLAINS DESCRIPTION

Little Makalolo is a comfortable five-roomed tented camp in the heart of Hwange National Park, in one of its best game viewing areas. Little Makalolo is one of the few camps located within the Park, and offers privacy for guests who enjoy small camps and a sense of remoteness.

The tented rooms each have en-suite facilities, including a flush toilet, and shower with hot and cold running water - as well as an outdoor shower under the stars. The main living area is under canvas and houses the dining room, lounge and pub, and a small plunge pool.

The camp overlooks a small waterhole and guests can enjoy game viewing during the "siesta" hours a tree house hide. Activities at Little Makalolo centre on game viewing in open 4x4 vehicles throughout the Makalolo concession area, as well as walks with armed guides.

The area is ecologically diverse, ensuring a varied food "pantry", which feeds great numbers of animals year round. Makalolo is one of the best areas for predators, Buffalo and Elephant - all featuring regularly in the experience.

CAMP DESCRIPTION
• The main tent houses the dining room, pub and lounge area
• Plunge pool
• Hide and water hole in front of camp

ACTIVITIES AT LITTLE MAKOLOLO PLAINS
• Game drives in 1x7 and 1x9-seater land rovers (wind-resistant ponchos are provided during winter months)

The highlight here is the large open plains where one can see large quantities of animals. Summer game viewing is excellent with Wildebeest, Zebra and Eland found in abundance on the plains. In winter the water holes are magnets for Elephant and on some days each water hole can get up to 1000 elephants coming down to drink.
