left-hand side traffic. We have included approximate travel times
on the itineraries which give an indication of the travel directly
from point a to b and does not include stop-off touring time.

used is a Europcar Group D 1600cc vehicle with power steering,
automatic transmission, air-conditioning, radio and tape.
» Platinum
Class Tours - Superior accommodation, facilities
and exceptional personalised services, these properties will exceed
all expectations. The car hire ategory used is a Europcar Group
O 1800cc vehicle with power steering, air-bag, automatic transmission,

SELF DRIVE COVER - Optional Cover
We have established a specialist partnership with
Netcare 911 to provide clients with complete peace of mind when
on tour, applicable to passengers travelling on The Safari Co.
Self Drive Tours.
The Safari Co. will not compromise with the safety standards and
peace-of-mind touring, essential to a complete holistic product
offering. This emergency cover is applicable to passengers whilst
travelling on our vehicles and out of the vehicle during any tour
product listed in our brochure.
Netcare 911 is a 24 hour medical emergency evacuation service.
An important feature of this product is that in the event of an
emergency clients are treated and evacuated immediately with no
delays in trying to get emergency authorisation from the passengers
overseas medical insurance. Clients will be evacuated and hospitalised
with no delay.
The often critical window for immediate peace of mind assistance
is covered. We recommend that passengers still have their own
medical cover with information available at all times.
EUROPCAR - Vehicle Rental
On arrival at the Europcar rental counter, the customer must present:
• The Safari Co.’s pre-paid Travel Voucher
• Credit card to cover additional service
• Home address, telephone number and email address
• Local contact details (hotel / The Safari Co’s consultant
contact)
• Drivers license and passport (Europcar requires details
of the official drivers license)
• An international drivers license is not essential
• Additional Drivers - All drivers must be listed on the
applicable rental agreement
There is a charge per additional driver per rental which will
be collected directly from the customer at time of rental. (If
an unlisted driver is involved in an accident, or theft of the
vehicle, the renter will be liable for full damage / theft costs,
even if super cover has been signed for).
For additional safety:
• Keep all doors locked while driving
• Always park in a safe, designated area
• When leaving a vehicle unattended, lock all the doors
and the boot
• Do not leave valuables in the vehicle - personal property
is not covered by Europcar insurance
• Do not hand keys to hotel porters to park the vehicle,
or leave keys at reception
• Do not leave keys visibly 'lying around' in hotel rooms
• If vehicle is to be collected, please speak personally
to the Europcar office and hand the keys personally to the Europcar
attendant
• Do not hand keys to airport or airline staff when returning
the vehicle In the event vehicle damage or theft:
• Contact Europcar immediately: 0800 011 344
• In the event of an accident, a report must be made to
the nearest the Police Station and a Police report number obtained.
